The English Language Centre only employ fulled qualified teachers of English.
PRINCIPAL
Verity Langford, Cert. Ed. B´ham.,Dip. Ed. Caen.,Y.L. B´ham. T.E.F.L.
Verity qualified as a French teacher in 1973. She has extensive experience within the British education system working with children and young people between the ages of six months and eighteen years. She has been a class teacher, support worker, key worker, team leader and a language teacher. She is familiar with the British National Curriculum. She later specialised in Special Needs and has additional qualifications in this area. She was a Pre-school Support Teacher and Portage Supervisor for the pilot scheme for the whole of Northamptonshire.
Verity also has experience of teaching adults English in Britain and abroad. She has co-ordinated, led and overseen courses for overseas students who wished to make study visits to England. She has worked for both the British Council and the British Centre.
Nursery Manager
Kate Robertson
Kate qualified as a mature student at Perth College in 1991, as an N.N.E.B. and received the Jane Napier Award for best student. Additional qualifications include SCOTVEC HNU Child Abuse and Young Children, and SCOTVEC HNU Special Needs.
Kate has a wealth of experience in a variety of settings where she has led teams which have cared for children from birth to age five. She has been instrumental in research and the formulation of early years policy,and preparing documents for national and local authorities.
Nursery Teacher
Gillian Wardley
Gill qualified as a Nursery Nurse at Croydon Technical College in 1982.
She has worked in the public and private sector. Her experience is in both schools and nurseries working with children aged from two to five. For nine years she owned a successful Nursery in Greece.
Head of Spanish
Silvina Gabriela Nicolini, known to us all as Sylvie!
Sylvie also has experience of teaching adults English in Britain and abroad. She has co-ordinated, led and overseen courses for overseas students who wished to make study visits to England. She has worked for both the British Council and the British Centre.
